My husband, Joe and I are long time residents of Strongsville, Ohio, having moved here in 1978. We have always had an interest in history, which is why it came to no surprise when, in 1998, we decided to purchase two historic properties on Mill Hollow Lane \u2026 an 1880 schoolhouse and an 1890 home, which was Strongsville\u2019s 1st lending library. We lived in the \u2018library\u2019 house for several years while we renovated the schoolhouse, which later became our home.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">We then acquired a wonderful mid 1800s farmhouse located on the same street as our properties, which was the home of Strongsville\u2019s first blacksmith, William Weller. Feeling that this beautiful historic home should be shared with the community and its surrounding communities, we decided to convert it into what has now become Miss Hickory\u2019s Tea Room.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">Miss Hickory\u2019s Tea Room welcomes its patrons back to the \u2018turn-of-the-century.\u2019 They will be greeted by our Hostesses &amp; Servers who will be dressed in early 1900s attire. When one enters the tea room, they will feel as though they\u2019ve stepped back in time \u2026 to a peaceful, more relaxing time.
