Tea Room Hours:
For customers requiring more than two hours for dining, we recommend an afternoon seating, in which we can allow for an extended service.

~ Reservation Policy for Large Groups & Special Events ~
- All tickets must be applied to one check.
- We offer a limited menu for groups of 15 or more. The price is $25 per person, which includes beverage and one of the following menu choices:
– Miss Hickory’s High Tea Sampler (refer to Menu for details)
– Miss Hickory’s Trio (refer to Menu for choices)
There will be an additional charge for any desserts, etc. ordered.
NOTE: Parties of less than 15 have the option of ordering directly from the menu.
- For any desserts brought in, a $1.50 cutting/serving/cleaning fee per person will be applied, with no exceptions.
- Due to liability reasons, crafts of any nature are not permitted.
- Applicable sales tax and a 20% gratuity is additional and will be added to bill at time of check out.
- We allow approximately a two-hour time slot for all seatings, allowing 10-15 minutes for our staff to bus and set the tables for our next reservation. Available time slots are 11am or 1pm. (Please refer to our Special Events Package below for special event time slots.) If the later seating is reserved, we can allow an extended service. However, a $5 per person/per hour room fee will be applied (starting 15 minutes past the two-hour seating, compensating for the use of our staff after hours. This same charge will be applied in the same way each hour.)
- A $5 deposit per person is required to hold your reservation. This deposit will then be applied to your bill the day of the event. Should you cancel your reservation, this deposit becomes non-refundable.
- Each room must be reserved to that room’s capacity (i.e. main dining room seats up to 30; rear dining room seats up to 20; upstairs dining rooms seat up to 8). If your guest count falls below that number, you will still be responsible for the full capacity and will be charged accordingly, as we cannot reserve tables for other customers in the same room as an event, primarily due to privacy for the event and noise level.
- Due to the noise level we have experienced with children’s parties of any size, we ask that an entire room be reserved for this type of event. For parties of 8 or less, one of our upstairs dining rooms can be reserved, preferably our Storybook Tea Room, which is geared toward children. For larger parties, one of our lower level dining rooms would be reserved, again to that room’s capacity.

Miss Hickory’s Tea Room is located in a mid 1800s farmhouse in a beautiful historic district of Strongsville, Ohio. We welcome our patrons back to the ‘turn-of-the-century.’ Our Hostesses and Waitresses are dressed in early 1900s attire. When one enters our tea room they will feel as though they have stepped back in time, to a peaceful, more relaxing time. Once seated, they will be able to sit back and enjoy the surroundings, listening to music from days gone by, while sipping a nice cup of hot tea.

We recommend that you book your event well in advance to assure the dining space you require. We prefer to book special events of 40 or more people on Sundays, when we are closed.
We will be closed on Sundays until notified otherwise.
For groups of 30 or less, we recommend a Saturday, during our regular service at 11am or 1pm.

We have two floors of dining space – two large dining rooms on the main floor: one accommodating up to 30 people; the other accommodating up to 20 people; four individual dining rooms on the second floor which will accommodate up to 8 people each. We can house up to 82 people total. We also have an outdoor deck that will accommodate 20 people (weather permitting).

Special Event Requirements

- All special events require a $5.00 per person deposit to hold the date and time you request. This deposit is due at the time you confirm your reservation (form enclosed). It will be applied toward the balance of your bill on the scheduled event date. Should you cancel your reservation for any reason, this deposit becomes non-refundable.
- The menu option choice for your event must be confirmed no later than two weeks prior to your scheduled event date. (Please refer to ‘Special Event Meals’ below.)
- Each room must be reserved to that room’s capacity (i.e. main dining room seats up to 30; rear dining room seats up to 20; upstairs dining rooms seat up to 8). - Tables for gifts, cake/desserts and special seating requirements are available upon request.
- One check will be provided. Applicable sales tax and a 20% gratuity will be applied to your check upon check out.
- If any desserts are brought in from an outside source, a $1.50 cutting/serving fee per person per dessert will be applied, with no exceptions.
- Custom cakes can also be ordered in advance. We can provide photos with various options we offer. (see more information below).

Miss Hickory’s Tea Room offers professionally decorated cakes and/or fancy desserts to fit the theme of your event. Once your theme is presented, the options available will be provided. Price is based on design, size/quantity. Orders must be placed at least three weeks prior to the scheduled event date. This cost will be added to the final check.
